Search for User

Purpose

Find a user quickly on the Users page by name or email address.

Note: This action may require administrator privileges.

Prerequisites

  • You are signed in to EisenVault One.
  • You can open Users from the left navigation.
  • You have permission to view users.

Before You Begin

The Users page includes a collapsible search field labeled Search User(s). Search filters the card list on the current page of results; it does not search across the entire organization in a separate results view.

You can combine search with:

  • Filter by Users — narrow the list by active status, two-factor authentication, or forced password change settings
  • Records-per-page — control how many cards appear at once
  • Pagination — move through additional pages of results

Search for a User

  1. Open Users from the left navigation.
  2. Click the search icon beside Filter by Users.
  3. Type part of the user's name or email address.
  4. Review the matching user cards.
  5. Optional: clear the search field and refresh the list to return to the full set of users.

Example Walkthrough

  1. Open the search field and enter a name or email fragment. The card list updates to show matching accounts.

  2. Click a user's avatar to open their read-only profile, or click the pencil icon to edit the account if you have permission.

Expected Result

  • Only user cards that match your search text remain visible.
  • Clearing the search restores the broader list according to your current filters and pagination.
